Job summary

The People Concern seeks an Assistant Director of Project-based Housing to oversee project-based sites and staff across Los Angeles County, ensuring high-quality client care in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Director of Project-based Housing, this full-time exempt role leads program operations, coordinates with partners, and maintains data accuracy in CHAMP and HMIS systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in mental health field required.
• Active clinical license in California and in good standing.
• Extensive experience with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Ability to work within harm-reduction model with clients facing multiple barriers.
• Strong time management, organizational, and cross-cultural communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-centered relationships using motivational interviewing and harm reduction.
• Provide clinical supervision to staff pursuing licensure.
• Oversee daily program operations and activities across sites.
• Coordinate with partners to address policy and client advocacy.
• Ensure data entry and accuracy in DHS/CHAMP and HMIS reporting.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate direct service staff.
• Lead program management in partnership with the Director of Project-based Housing.
