The Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC is seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Assistant Director of Sales to join our Commercial Leadership Team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this role leads the hotel's transient business across corporate, diplomatic, luxury leisure, consortia and business travel segments while overseeing the Senior Account Executive, Corporate & Diplomatic Sales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hotel sales experience, preferably luxury or upscale.
• Proven success in corporate, diplomatic, luxury leisure or consortia sales.
• Experience leading RFP negotiations and account strategies.
• Previous leadership or people management experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated with hospitality and sales passion.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth across corporate, diplomatic, luxury leisure, consortia and business travel.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve transient revenue goals and market share growth.
• Manage a portfolio of key accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead annual corporate RFP process with Revenue Management.
• Build relationships with corporate buyers, diplomatic contacts, luxury travel advisers and consortia partners.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, networking events and client engagements.
• Analyse market trends, production data and competitor activity to drive performance.
• Coach and support Senior Account Executive, Corporate & Diplomatic Sales.
