Job summary

White Oak Manor of Tryon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our nursing leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Safety Nurse. This hands-on role oversees resident safety programs and supports clinical excellence in our 70-bed skilled nursing, rehab, and 18-bed assisted living community.

Active NC or Compact RN license is required. Leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or Compact state required.
• Experience in nursing leadership or supervision preferred.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of resident safety and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and support nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily operations and staffing.
• Lead fall prevention, incident investigations, and safety interventions.
• Conduct clinical audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff to improve performance.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and care plan oversight.
• Provide direct resident care when needed and handle on-call coverage.

White Oak Manor of Tryon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Safety Nurse.

This position plays an essential role in supporting nursing operations, overseeing resident safety programs, and promoting clinical excellence throughout our 70-bed skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and 18 bed assisted living community.

We are looking for a strong, hands‑on nursing leader who values teamwork, accountability, and high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities

• Nursing Leadership: Assist the Director of Nursing with daily operations, staffing, and clinical oversight.


• Resident Safety: Lead fall prevention initiatives, incident investigations, and safety interventions.


• Quality & Compliance: Conduct clinical audits, safety rounds, and regulatory compliance reviews.


• Staff Development: Coach, mentor, and support nursing personnel to strengthen clinical performance.


• Quality Improvement: Participate in QAPI initiatives and implement improvements to resident care and safety.


• Clinical Oversight: Monitor care plans, safety assessments, and resident care practices.


• Leadership Support: Assist with direct resident care as needed, participate in assigned on‑call coverage, and assume DON responsibilities when necessary.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or Multi‑state (Compact) RN license required.


• Nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.


• Skilled nursing or long‑term care experience strongly preferred.


• Knowledge of resident safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical best practices.


• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to effectively lead and support a nursing team.

Compensation & Benefits
