Job summary

Smithfield Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing services, supervise staff, and coordinate resident care. You will support the Director of Nursing, oversee care planning, rounds, and documentation to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating and supervising nursing services to ensure high-quality care.
• Conduct and monitor daily rounds to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Oversee care planning, staff assignments, and resident assessments.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures aligned with facility goals and standards.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including care plans and incident reports.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure safety and patient care standards.
• Manage staff scheduling and budgeting for nursing department needs.
• Act as Director of Nursing in their absence and provide 24-hour on-call support.

2. Completion of a Registered Nurse program; minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
3. Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for maintaining high standards of care.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
