The Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) at Wexford House in Kingsport, Tennessee, leads the care team and supports nursing staff to deliver compassionate resident care in a team-driven environment. As ADON, you’ll oversee policy communication, staff supervision, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance while maintaining confidentiality of health information and upholding long-term care standards.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license for the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home or other related healthcare facility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices as well as long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate policy and procedures to clinical staff, monitor staff and practices.
• Participate in management team meetings related to census, resident care plans, complaints, and concerns as well as QAPI and facility assessments.
• Evaluate work performance of all nursing personnel and discipline according to operational policies.
• Ensure resident incidents and concerns that rise to a reportable event are reported to the correct entity within the state regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
