Job summary

Wexford House in Kingsport, TN is seeking a compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our clinical team and oversee resident care.

As ADON, you will implement policy, supervise nursing staff, participate in management meetings, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect patient health information while maintaining a respectful, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license for the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home or other related healthcare facility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices as well as long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate policy and procedures to clinical staff, monitor staff and practices.
• Participate in management team meetings related to census, resident care plans, complaints, and concerns as well as QAPI and facility assessments.
• Evaluate work performance of all nursing personnel and discipline according to operational policies.
• Ensure resident incidents and concerns that rise to a reportable event are reported to the correct entity within the state regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
