- In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS), develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and company and facility philosophy of care, consistent with Federal and State laws and corporate policies.
- Establish criteria and monitor performance to ensure that services provided meet established standards of quality.
- Collaborate with other departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, to develop and support resident care and related administrative functions, representing the facility's interests.
- Implement Key Clinical Quality Indicator systems to achieve or surpass corporate thresholds.
- Assist the Executive Director and DNS with preparation for long-term care surveys, actively participate during surveys by instructing staff, maintaining a presence on-site, and directing the collection of required information. Address any issues identified during the survey and undertake corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
- Availability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- At least one year of professional nursing experience in a long-term care setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Nursing service administration experience or comparable management experience preferred.
