Job summary

Apploi is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join a skilled nursing facility in the Chillicothe, Ohio area. The ADON will provide clinical leadership, support the Director of Nursing, and play a key role in resident care and staff development.

The ideal candidate will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to quality assurance initiatives while promoting a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio required.
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health regulations and survey processes.
• Experience with PCC preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily nursing operations and clinical oversight.
• Support, mentor, and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Monitor compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Assist with infection prevention, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in clinical audits, care planning, and survey preparation.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and employee retention efforts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Assist with staff education, training, and clinical competency development.
