Job summary
The Orchards at Big Rapids in Big Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. You will support the Director of Nursing and oversee daily nursing operations to ensure quality resident care.
The ideal candidate holds a Michigan RN license, has prior nursing leadership experience, and can coach staff, coordinate staffing, and contribute to regulatory compliance. This on-site role offers a salary of $90,000–$100,000 per year.
Qualifications
- Current Michigan nursing license in good standing.
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with staffing, coaching, and regulatory readiness.
- Familiarity with EHR and healthcare documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing with daily management of nursing services.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop nursing staff.
- Maintain nursing coverage and address staffing needs.
- Provide coaching, education, and performance feedback.
- Participate in employee evaluations and corrective actions.
- Complete resident rounds and monitor quality of care.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Assist with changes in resident condition and follow-up.
- Support compliance with regulations and quality initiatives.
