Job summary

MediLodge of Capital Area in Lansing, MI, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) RN to support the Director of Nursing and supervise nursing staff in a skilled nursing environment.

The ADON will oversee operations, ensure quality resident care, and help drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes. This role emphasizes leadership, regulatory knowledge, teamwork, and staff development in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Lead and motivate nursing staff while maintaining patient care standards.
• Coordinate with DON and other leaders to ensure smooth unit operations.
• Manage departmental budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise long-term care nursing services and support survey readiness.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between nursing units, admissions, and the DON.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues.
• Monitor weekly and monthly weights and resident metrics.
• Evaluate nursing staff performance and recommend training or changes.
• Ensure staffing levels meet facility census requirements.
• Assist in preparation of departmental reports and records.
