The Orchards at Big Rapids in Big Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our nursing leadership team. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily operations, care quality, staff development, and regulatory readiness.

Ideal candidates will hold a Michigan RN license, have leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care, and be proficient with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan nursing license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing standards and healthcare regulations.
• Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing with daily nursing services and clinical operations.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop nursing staff.
• Ensure appropriate nursing coverage and address staffing needs.
• Coach and provide feedback to the nursing team.
• Participate in evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct resident rounds and monitor care quality.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in care planning and meetings.
• Identify changes in resident condition and follow up.
• Support regulatory readiness and quality improvement initiatives.
