Job summary

Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care in a senior living setting. This role partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, develops policies, and maintains regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have RN or LPN licensure, leadership experience, strong communication, and a commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN or LPN school of nursing.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Prior nursing management/leadership preferred.
• RN or LPN license in good standing required.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong teamwork and effective communication with residents and their families.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services 24/7 under the Director of Nursing.
• Develop and implement policies for nursing staff.
• Lead rounds and supervise nursing units daily.
• Assess and document residents' conditions; update care plans.
• Administer medications and start IVs as needed.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are clean, safe, and maintained.
• Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary care.
• Ensure head-to-toe assessments by licensed nurses.
