Job summary

Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, MO is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing teams, develop care plans, and ensure high standards of resident care and safety.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus for qualifying RN/LPN candidates, PTO accrual, holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with company match after one year, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN or LPN program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• One year nursing experience preferred.
• Prior nursing management/leadership preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a team.
• Effective communication with residents and families.
• Ability to react decisively in emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA awareness.
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to nursing staff and lead care plan development.
• Ensure services meet company and regulatory standards.
• Initiate and implement policies for nursing staff.
• Document assessments, orders, and treatments accurately.
• Supervise medication administration and treatments.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for resident care.
• Promote safety and a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
