Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with the state nursing board.
• BSN preferred for this leadership role.
• Minimum of supervisory or leadership nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department's daily operations within a skilled nursing facility.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement tailored care plans for residents.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor health status and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and leadership to promote effective communication.
