Assistant Director of Nursing - Assisted Living

Overview

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department under the leadership of the Resident Care Director within our senior living community. Responsibilities include direct oversight, coaching, and supervision of all resident care service providers, providing on-floor nursing support, interacting with family members, conducting assessments, and being available for on-call duties.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with families and friends of residents
  • Ensure compliance with all resident care regulations (e.g., medication management)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping
  • Demonstrate safety methods and procedures for personal and resident safety
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license per state regulations; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is a plus
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice as an RN and 2 years in a care setting as an RN
  • Certification in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association is a plus
  • Knowledge of Dementia care is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds individually
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Availability to be on call as needed by the community
