Job summary

Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead clinical services and support the DON. This full‑time role starts at $110k–$115k, with a requirement for an IL RN license and several years of skilled nursing management experience. On‑call every other weekend and weekday 9am–5pm duties apply.

The ADON will oversee care plans, mentor staff, and evaluate nursing systems while ensuring regulatory compliance in a dedicated long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Illinois.
• Must have at least three (3) years of experience as an RN.
• Must have long-term care experience and knowledge of SNF regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director of Nursing on clinical oversight.
• Ensures care plans are implemented timely and efficiently.
• Manages the clinical team, develops programs, and provides staff education.
• Plans and evaluates nursing systems, rotations and methods.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING – ADON/RN - Generations at Applewood, Matteson, IL

Generations at Applewood, Matteson, IL, has an Opening for an Assistant Director of Nursing – ADON. This is a Full Time Role with a Salary Starting at $110-115k, depending upon qualifications and experience. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a few years of Skilled Nursing Facility or LTACH management/supervisory experience, not hospital.

Hours are 9a-5p weekdays and must be willing to be in On-Call every other weekend.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON (Clinical Services Supervisor):

• The Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON collaborates with the Director of Nursing – DON (Director of Clinical Services)
• Ensures care plans are implemented and delivered in a timely and efficient manner
• Manages the clinical team, develops programs and provides education to staff
• Plans and evaluates nursing systems, rotations and methods

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Illinois
• Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Must have long-term care experience & knowledge of SNF regulations
• Point Click Care (PCC) proficiency
• Must have leadership and critical thinking skills
• Must Work collaboratively with staff and peers
• ICU or ventilator experience a plus
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults
