Job summary

Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care in Raymore, MO, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and advance resident-centered care in long-term and memory care settings. You will oversee clinical operations, support the Director of Nursing, supervise staff, participate in care planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a compassionate, team-based culture.

Missouri-licensed RN or LPN with 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred; competitive

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN or LPN license required (RN preferred).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of nursing services.
• Support 24-hour clinical operations and nursing oversight.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Supervise and support nursing staff performance and development.
• Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and admissions.
• Monitor quality of care and resident outcomes.
• Help maintain survey readiness and clinical compliance standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with staffing coordination and nursing department support.
• Promote a positive culture focused on compassionate, resident-centered care.
• Assume clinical leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of nursing services

• Supporting 24-hour clinical operations and nursing oversight

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
