Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead and support resident care in a dynamic long-term care setting. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality nursing services, regulatory compliance, and staff collaboration across shifts.

The ADON will oversee MDS coordination, care planning, performance improvement and infection control, while managing staff hiring, training and evaluations to meet census and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board
• Strong leadership and management experience
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs and floor staffing as needed
• Oversee resident care including MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and infection control
• Manage nursing staff hiring, training, evaluation, assignment, and delegation
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date resident documentation
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians and nursing teams
• Ensure access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold infection control measures through assessments and actions

In This Role, You Will

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed
• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
