Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department in line with federal, state, and local standards.

The role involves directing daily nursing activities, helping update policies, and ensuring current reference materials at the nurses’ station to meet residents’ needs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• RN with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of nursing department.
• Ensure that reference material maintained at the nurse’s station is current. Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
