Job summary

Goldwater Care in Peoria Heights, Illinois, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day nursing department functions in compliance with applicable standards.

This on-site role requires RN licensure, a nursing degree, and at least two years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care setting; you will help develop policies and supervise staff to deliver resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• RN with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of nursing department.
• Ensure that reference material maintained at the nurse’s station is current. Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.
