Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Job Responsibilities:

1. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, make administrative and nursing decisions based on current nursing standards, medical knowledge, and sound judgment regarding the care and treatment of residents and nursing staff.
2. Assist in the selection, hiring, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and training of nursing personnel.
3. Assist and approve work schedules, monitor, and coordinate nursing activities across all shifts.
4. Supervise, assign, and assist in the nursing activities of the direct care staff.
5. Develop, implement, and document clinical performance improvement plans.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Current registration as an RN.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice.
• Possess leadership skills.
