Job summary

Sanctuary Pointe A Caring Place Healthcare Group Facility is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical excellence and lead the nursing team in a fast-paced environment. The role offers leadership, mentoring, and opportunities to drive quality care for residents.

The ADON will oversee daily nursing operations, supervise RNs, LPNs, CMAs and CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in policy development, hiring, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Licensed nursing professional in Ohio with current CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs to ensure quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Monitor quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Provide clinical guidance on care planning and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for resident-centered care.
• Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents, families and staff.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA requirements.

Your Role as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department

What We're Looking For:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Compassionate, calm, and resident-focused approach to care
