Job summary

Avantara North in Rapid City, SD seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee the Clinical Department and support a compassionate, high-quality care environment. You will guide daily operations and collaborate with leadership to maintain exceptional patient services.

As a key nursing leader, you will help set department goals, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and foster a positive, inclusive culture while supporting residents with outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Science, Nursing or related field.
• Unencumbered SD RN license.
• CPR Certification.
• Two years of RN experience; five years management experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Clinical Department.
• Help set Nursing Department goals and ensure regulatory compliance.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara North by assisting with overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, assisting with setting and attaining Nursing Department goals, ensuring the nursing department is in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an Associate's Degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse (R.N.) license, C.P.R. Certification and two (2) years of R.N. experience. Prior experience managing a nursing department and five (5) years of R.N. experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
