Job Details

Come join our team as a clinical team leader at our state-of-the-art, skilled nursing facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing is a process-oriented person who works directly with the facility DON and nursing team to implement the nursing systems and processes to ensure the facility meets the medical, physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of all patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the DON, understanding the DON job description, and be able to assist in duties as necessary, managing the facility during the absence of the Administrator and DON.
• Support overall facility goals, policies, and chain of command.
• Serve as resource nurse for patient care questions or problems.
• Monitor patient care and environment through daily rounds independently and with DON.
• Oversee clinical systems: infection control (acting as Infection Preventionist), skin integrity, and fall reduction/management teams.
• Assist with system and process education for the nursing team and perform ongoing in-service training based on QAPI initiatives.
• Research and resolve complaints/concerns regarding new admissions.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, and coaching the nursing team.
• Perform chart/charting audits to ensure proper care, treatments, and documentation.
• Participate as a member of the Infection Control and QAPI Teams.
• Assist with nursing meetings on all shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, RN, with a current license in the practicing state.
• Clinical leadership experience and strong attention to detail to ensure clinical oversight and promote excellent care.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, system/process analysis, and critical thinking skills.
• Must be in good health.
