We are well-funded by two top Israeli VCs and over 40 strategic international angels from the fintech, insurance, banking, and real estate sectors.

We are seeking a remote mortgage underwriter who specializes in underwriting DSCR loans. We are not a consumer lender.

About the job – Underwriter

We are disrupting the FinTech and PropTech sectors by helping non-US residents invest in US property digitally. We are streamlining heavy manual processes such as underwriting, banking, mortgages, and asset management into one, simple-to-use platform.

We have already processed large transactions, have our internal LOS system, excellent vendors, and securitization partners. We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriter.

Responsibilities

1. Communicate with Sales, Clients, Appraisers, Inspectors, Title companies, Secondary market players, and Leadership on the progress of files.
2. Review collateral, source of funds, rental history, entity documents, title commitments, loan terms, investor guidelines, etc.
3. Audit all documents required for each transaction to ensure accuracy.
4. Submit digital documentation into secondary market platforms for third-party review.
5. Coordinate and submit conditions requested from secondary market vendors.
6. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
7. Prepare real estate documentation using templates for the purchase or sale of single-family properties.
8. Review HOA questionnaires, articles, and bylaws.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a mortgage underwriter is required.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. The ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely, while being detail-oriented.
4. Focus on ensuring the correct process is followed every time, with no shortcuts.
5. Service-oriented with a sense of urgency to assist clients and investors professionally.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks without sacrificing accuracy.
7. Familiarity with CRM systems and document editing/signing software.
8. Additional licenses and certificates in real estate are a plus.
9. Proficiency in languages other than English is advantageous.
10. Experience with foreign national underwriting is a plus.
