Job summary

Opis-Senior-Services-Group in Largo, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing and lead our clinical team in delivering high-quality geriatric and sub-acute care. This role focuses on operations, regulatory compliance, and staff mentorship.

The ADON will drive quality improvement, participate in accreditation efforts, and ensure patient safety while fostering a compassionate, accountable culture in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing setting.
• Strong knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing all nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Infection Control, Safety, and leadership committees.
• Oversee staff onboarding, training, and development.
• Conduct staff meetings to address challenges and drive engagement.
• Support survey readiness and participate in accreditation processes.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
