Boston University’s College of Engineering – Graduate Programs Office seeks an Assistant Director for Graduate Student Support to lead initiatives that enhance the experiences of a diverse graduate population. You will coordinate advising, events, and services in partnership with faculty, departments, and student organizations to foster retention and success.

The role involves staff supervision, program and budget management, and serving as a primary resource on academic and personal matters.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in higher education or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing direct support to diverse graduate populations.
• Excellent written and oral communication capabilities; strong interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Counsels and supports a diverse graduate student population on personal, medical, and academic issues.
• Liaises with faculty to determine extenuating circumstances and determine appropriate follow-up.
• Serves as primary resource for departments and program managers to address complex issues.
• Oversees LEAP and student onboarding, orientation, and community-building activities.
• Develops and disseminates information on campus events and academic programs.
