Job summary

Hyatt Regency Frisco – Dallas is seeking an Assistant Engineering Director to oversee the daily operation of the hotel's facilities, including HVAC, electrical, refrigeration and kitchen systems. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Ideal candidates bring 5-7 years in hotel/building maintenance with supervisory experience and strong leadership, communication, and energy-management skills to maintain high standards

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team development skills to effectively communicate with colleagues.
• 5-7 years in a hotel, hospital, or building, including at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong background in HVAC (VRF Systems), refrigeration, commercial kitchens (hot and cold side), boilers, plumbing, electrical and laundry.
• Requires advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
• Exceptional time management, detail driven and organizational process planning.
• Professional demeanor with exceptional verbal, written and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the entire facilities, including all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchens and related equipment.
• Lead and support maintenance colleagues; ensure energy conservation and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure guest and colleague areas reflect proactively maintained esthetic.
• Flexibility in scheduling — including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
