Job summary

Transforming Age's AlmaVia of San Rafael is seeking an Assistant Director of Culinary Services to lead front- and back-of-house operations, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered dining.

You will partner with the Culinary Director, manage budgets, develop menus, and collaborate with local vendors to deliver creative, nutritious meals while upholding safety and sanitation standards in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Culinary degree from an accredited school preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience as Executive Chef or similar leadership role.
• Senior living community experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Culinary Director in front and back of house operations.
• Assists with budget development and management.
• Builds connections with residents and seeks feedback to improve offerings.
• Collaborates with purveyors to source premium ingredients.
• Aligns services with mission, vision and values; drives continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
