Job summary

Integral Senior Living seeks a seasoned Food Services Manager to lead dining operations across California communities. You will develop menus, enforce safety standards, manage budgets, and mentor kitchen teams to deliver high-quality, culturally appropriate meals for residents.

You will collaborate with vendors, perform QA audits, and drive continuous improvement in taste, nutrition, and service speed in a fast-paced senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a food service environment.
• Must have successfully completed food safety training.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements food service policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
• Plans menus and menu cycles according to cultural and regional food preferences, and resident dietary guidelines.
• Monitors the quality and consistency of the food to include temperatures, portions, palatability, and appearance.
• Observes workers to ensure methods of cooking and garnishing meet standards.
• Cooks and carves meats, and prepares dishes.
• Orders food and chemical supplies and validates deliveries.
• Inventories food items monthly.
• Conducts QA audits.
• Practices safe and sanitary food handling.
• Negotiates and signs food service agreements with vendors.
• Selects, schedules, and conducts orientation and in-service education for personnel.
• Monitors monthly expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
