Job summary

The Assistant Director of Cranford YMCA Member Services at Westfield Area YMCA oversees the Membership Unit, directing budget development, service quality, new membership goals and program enrollments. The role directly supervises all Team Leaders at Cranford and supports the Association Risk Management program.

Qualifications

• The incumbent must possess and maintain BLS/First Aid within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience and a bachelor’s degree required.
• YMCA experience and Team Leader Certification desirable; strong budget management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in problem solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Cranford YMCA Membership Unit and ensure coverage of the operation.
• supervise Team Leaders and manage accounts receivable related to membership dues.
• Lead community outreach and partnership activities with nonprofits.
• Collaborate with Directors to maximize membership growth and program enrollments.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing; uphold risk management practices.
