Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services seeks an Assistant Director Transfer High School for Brooklyn High School for Leadership and Community Service, to provide leadership, supervision, and program coordination. In partnership with the Program Director, you will oversee intake, counseling, attendance outreach, and youth development, strengthening family involvement and post-secondary planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW); LMSW preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professional integrity.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strengths-based and/or youth development perspective.
• Successful completion of required background checks and clearances.
• Preferred: bilingual proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and program coordination for the LTW internship program.
• Oversee student intake, counseling services, attendance outreach, and youth development programming.
• Foster equity, student advocacy, and safe, inclusive environments.
• Coordinate with the Program Director, school staff, and partners for service delivery.
• Deliver training, coaching, and professional development to staff and interns.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and data entry in Apricot and New Visions.
• Lead attendance outreach and family engagement activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely interventions and supports.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and implement support plans.
• Support post-secondary planning including college and vocational pathways.
