Job summary

Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service, Inc. seeks an Assistant Director for the Transfer High School LTW Program. You will lead the LTW internship program, supervise staff, oversee intake and counseling, and coordinate services with school staff and community partners.

You will foster an inclusive, supportive environment emphasizing equity, student advocacy, and post-secondary readiness while ensuring high-quality program delivery and data-informed improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW; LMSW preferred).
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professional integrity.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strengths-based and/or youth development perspective.
• Successful completion of required background checks and clearances.
• Preferred: bilingual proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of LTW internship program and staff.
• Oversee student intake, counseling services, attendance outreach, and youth development.
• Collaborate with Program Director, school staff, and partners to ensure service delivery.
• Foster safe, inclusive environment promoting student engagement and well-being.
• Lead attendance outreach, home visits, and family engagement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation in Apricot, New Visions, and Google Sheets.
