Job summary

University of Miami seeks an Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Facility Services to lead day-to-day operations of the residential building portfolio in Coral Gables.

The role owns physical condition and readiness of spaces, coordinating maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, inspections, and inventory, in partnership with Facilities, Operations & Planning and contracted service providers.

Responsibilities

• Leads Housing's day-to-day operations across the residential portfolio in partnership with Facilities, Operations and Planning and contracted service providers.
• Environmental Services including housekeeping and custodial services across all residential buildings, landscaping and grounds maintenance, pest control.
• Laundry services and vending operations vendor coordination.
• Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate student employees supporting operations.
• Develop and maintain inspection schedules, room readiness timelines, move-in/move-out inspection calendars, and warehouse inspection schedules.
• Verify completion of assigned maintenance work and ensure spaces are move-in ready.
• Monitor housing work orders, ensure timely responses, and coordinate with FOP on system access and reporting.
• Manage the Cruise Ship Move-In program with off-campus vendors and campus stakeholders.
• Coordinate building preparations for student move-in/move-out and develop inspection/readiness schedules.
• Administer and develop assessment programs for work order reporting to stakeholders.
• Monitor and respond to residential maintenance cases in Salesforce with partners to address moisture intrusion and other concerns.
• Manage Housing warehouse operations and inventory controls.
