Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking an Assistant Director to assist the Director of Environmental Services in leading the Housekeeping Department across hospital facilities. You will coordinate Operations Managers, liaise with hospital administration, and strive for high levels of service.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with progressive healthcare housekeeping experience and strong communication, problem solving and budgeting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff participation and budget understanding.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and procedures for Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules and duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping staff per facility standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility and recommends actions.
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major project work with adequate staff and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
