Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Director of Environmental Services in directing all operational needs of housekeeping. You will coordinate Operations Managers, liaise with administration and hospital departments, and deliver exceptional service across a large health system.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budgets, inspections, and staff development while ensuring adherence to policies and patient-focused cleanliness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Solid understanding of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Good work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and empathy, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff in accordance with facility policies.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping personnel according to facility standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all staff.
• Performs regular facility inspections and evaluations; recommends action items and assists with relocations.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major project work with adequate staff and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
