Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, higher education administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of professional financial aid experience.
• Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and Title IV programs.
• Experience with financial aid management systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to communicate with students, families, and university partners from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Associate Director with daily financial aid operations and administration of federal, state, institutional, and private aid programs.
• Review student financial aid applications, verify eligibility, and determine awards according to regulations and university policies.
• Develop and maintain financial aid policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
• Assist with financial aid system setup in PowerFAIDS and Colleague.
• Maintain accurate financial aid records and support reporting requirements.
• Counsel prospective and current students and families on eligibility, FAFSA, awards, and payment plans.
