Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
• Three to five years’ experience in a financial aid environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
• Familiarity and ability to interpret Title IV legislation and “Dear Colleague Letters” to assist leadership in office compliance.
• Ability to maintain multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with other departments.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and maintain confidentiality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some nights and weekends as well as travel required.

Responsibilities

• Review financial aid files, including complex verification and professional judgment appeals.
• Oversee packaging, revision, and finalization of financial aid awards; coordinate with Bursar for disbursement and compliance.
