Job summary

Commonpoint seeks an Assistant Director of DGMH within CAPE at the Mental Health Division to oversee the DGMH contract in collaboration with the Senior Director. The role reports to the Senior Director at CAPE and requires licensure within the first year.

You will supervise clinicians, coordinate across program sites, and ensure compliant operations, while developing staff and maintaining partnerships with Older Adult Center leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required.
• Current New York State LMSW or eligibility to obtain licensure within 1 year.
• Experience providing behavioral health services, preferably with older adults.
• Experience supervising clinicians and coordinating programs.
• Strong clinical assessment, crisis-intervention, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DGMH clinicians and staff across designated sites.
• Monitor program data, documentation, and reporting for compliance.
• Provide onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for DGMH staff.
• Collaborate with CAPE leadership and Older Adult Center partners.
• Ensure adherence to funder requirements and agency procedures.
• Attend NYC Aging state-related meetings and coordinate across teams.
