Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in Advancement/Development or a related field.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use standard office software for correspondence, reports, and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate prospective donors and develop relationships to progress from discovery to gift conversion.
  • Build long-term partnerships and align donor passions with college priorities.
  • Manage a large portfolio with potential for major gifts and coordinate donor campaigns across units.
  • Prepare, review and edit materials to secure and steward gifts and support solicitation efforts.
  • Lead donor cultivation and stewardship activities in collaboration with advancement staff.
  • Represent the university at events and professional functions as appropriate.
