Job summary

New York University’s University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) seeks a Senior Director of Development, Arts & Science to lead strategies for unrestricted and restricted gifts, building a high-impact donor portfolio and engaging volunteers at the Arts & Science level.

You will manage frontline fundraisers, hire and develop staff, and coordinate cross-functional campaigns, traveling as needed domestically and internationally to cultivate transformational gifts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in nonprofit philanthropy and development.
• Experience managing volunteer groups and supervising staff.
• Excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement major gift strategies for Arts & Science.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward 6- to 9-figure gifts.
• Lead and develop UDAR staff and manage volunteers.
• Coordinate cross-functional fundraising with university units.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
