Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to lead housekeeping operations, coordinate tasks of Operations Managers, and act as liaison between administration and hospital departments to deliver top service levels.

The role requires coordinating schedules, staffing, training, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with facility standards to maintain high-quality environmental services across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Solid understanding of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in health care housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and empathy, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to apply a participative approach to managing staff, coordinating and prioritizing tasks, and developing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards for Housekeeping staff per facility policies.
• Plans work schedules, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and recommends termination of housekeeping personnel.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all staff.
• Performs regular facility inspections and evaluations and suggests action items.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates with other departments to align housekeeping activities.
• Schedules major project work and ensures adequate staffing and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
