Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is hiring a Preschool Assistant Director of Education Program Services to oversee the Brooklyn School Age Program and Brooklyn Children's Program. This role assists the Director with directing, coordinating, developing and supervising all program components to ensure effective use of resources for children served.

The position requires strong leadership, supervisory experience, and expertise in Special Education, with NYS certifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education and NYS permanent certification as a Special Education Teacher are required.
• Five years as a Special Education Teacher and four years as a School Administrator.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, hires, orients, trains, and supervises staff.
• Oversees daily operation of the program including education, clinical, clerical and maintenance.
• Prepares agency-required program reports.
• Monitors program budget.
• Liaisons between parents and school districts; develops goals and policies.
