Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is seeking a Preschool Assistant Director of Education Program Services to oversee the Brooklyn School Age and Brooklyn Children’s Programs. This role directs staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives department development.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Special Education with NYS certifications for Special Education Teacher and School Administrator, plus five years’ teaching and four years’ administrative experience; a NY driver’s license is required for

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education is required.
• New York State Permanent Certification as Special Education Teacher is required.
• New York State Permanent Certification as School Administrator and Supervisor is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, develops, and supervises all program components within a service for children.
• Oversees daily program operations including education, clinical, medical, clerical, and maintenance.
• Prepares agency-required program reports and monitors the program budget.
