Job summary

Ridgefield KinderCare is seeking an Assistant Director to help lead our center team and support families in delivering high-quality early childhood education. You will collaborate with the Center Director to meet enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals while ensuring a safe, engaging classroom environment for children.

The role emphasizes partnership with families, staff development, and adherence to state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of early childhood education experience required.
• Strong administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state specific guidelines for the role.
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Serve in roles throughout the center as needed, including teacher, cook, or driver.
