Job summary
Cumberland County Guidance Center in Millville, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Community Support Services (CSS) Assistant Director to join our leadership team. You will oversee daily CSS programs, supervise staff, provide clinical support, and drive quality improvement in community-based services.
The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, active NJ licensure (LSW/LAC/LAMFT), and at least two years in mental health with supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
- Minimum 2 years mental health experience.
- Knowledge of community resources and behavioral health systems.
- Valid NJ driver's license.
Responsibilities

- Supervise case management staff with guidance and coaching.
- Support community integration, rehabilitation, and recovery-focused services.
- Conduct rehabilitation assessments and service planning.
- Provide crisis intervention support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations.

- Assist with representative payee fund management and administrative processes.
- Promote recovery-oriented, person-centered care.

As the Assistant Director of Community Support Services, you'll play a key role in program oversight, staff supervision, clinical support, and quality improvement initiatives while helping ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services throughout the community.
For more than 60 years, Cumberland County Guidance Center has provided compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and mental health services to individuals and families throughout Cumberland County. As the Community Support Services Assistant Director, you'll help oversee daily program operations while supporting staff and ensuring clients receive comprehensive community-based services.

- Ability to work a flexible 40-hour schedule

- Experience with case management, rehabilitation services, or community support services
