Learning Care Group in New York is seeking an Assistant Director to ensure safe, effective school operation alongside the School Director. You will help promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, leading staff, and supporting ongoing training and development. This role offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits and a focus on professional growth in a caring, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.
• CDA or Associates Degree in Early Education or related field with a plan of study to complete bachelor degree required.
• New York State Teacher Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision.
• In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school.
• Assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
• Fosters a positive, educational, and caring environment for children and parents.
• Recruits, selects, and retains quality staff.
