Job summary

Communitas, Inc. in Wakefield, MA seeks a Career Services Assistant Director to lead Career Services staff and manage operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered employment support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will partner with staff, employers, and community organizations to create meaningful employment opportunities and guide ISPs, coaching, and planning to promote independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities required.
• Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Career Services staff through hiring, supervision, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee daily Career Services operations, including scheduling, documentation, billing, and staffing; assume department leadership in the Director’s absence.
• Partner with individuals, staff, employers, and community organizations to create meaningful employment opportunities.
• Support individuals in achieving employment goals through ISPs, assessments, skill development, job coaching, and career planning.
• Foster a person-centered environment where individuals and staff contribute to service improvements.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance; ensure timely documentation and communication.
• Collaborate across departments to advocate for individual needs and advance Communitas’ mission.
