Job summary

The University of Chicago's Financial Mathematics Program is seeking an Assistant Director to support internship and full-time job preparation for graduate students. You will lead career events, provide one-on-one advising, and coordinate panels and workshops in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include advising students on career strategies, mock interviews, resumes, employer outreach, and data reporting across systems.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in related field.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with graduate-level and/or international students.
• Experience with event planning and execution.
• Customer service or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Advises and counsels students concerning employment opportunities and careers.
• Conducts mock interviews, reviews resumes and cover letters, and coordinates interview materials.
• Supports employer and alumni relations including outreach for career engagement opportunities.
• Coordinates quarterly info sessions for the Project Lab course and supports communications.
• Plans and logistic manages career events, including employer, alumni, and student-focused events.
• Communicates information about events and job opportunities to students and alumni weekly.
