Job summary

Geneva College is seeking an Assistant Director of the Center for Calling and Career to guide students in self-discovery and vocational planning. You will coach individuals and groups, lead cross‑discipline programs, and partner with faculty to weave calling and career into the college experience.

The role includes supervising student staff, managing communications for events, and contributing to a culture of service and hospitality in a Christian college setting.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and developing students at college or high school level.
• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling or equivalent.
• Strong skills in calling/career coaching, life design, employer relations, event planning, and classroom facilitation.
• Christian commitment and alignment with Geneva College’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Proactively coach students and alumni to explore life callings and career paths.
• Lead and coordinate Calling & Career programs, events, and resources for students and alumni.
• Oversee marketing and communication for Calling & Career, and collaborate with faculty across disciplines.
• Hire, train, and supervise department student workers and interns.
• Maintain accurate student meeting records and participate in data collection like the First Destination Survey.
